 20th November Madness Minimize

Returning to November Madness!!

We invite you to take a step back in time with us on the 20th of November at our next Madness Of The God’s event as we party  1920’s style.

Welcome to the roaring twenties...

A time when money was in abundance and when prohibition laws were enforced (a banning across America and Canada prohibiting the sale, manufacturing and transportation of alcohol) creating an underground gangster influx of Cabaret clubs and smoking lounges that secretly sold homemade alcohol on the side. These clubs were known most commonly as speakeasies. Organised crime rose through the roof and every second cop was a crooked one.

During this time the flapper was born... a woman that dared to offend her elders and break the Gibson girl mould, corsets were thrown out, heavy makeup worn, long hair was cut short. Coco Chanel herself creating a new found trend for tanned skin and boyish figures with busts flattened , dress waist lines dropped to the hips and skirts rising to an outrageous new height (knee length). This daring new breed of women fought for women’s rights, drove automobiles, treated sex in a casual manner, smoked and drank openly and danced provocatively.

The jazz age, a decade of decadence and rebellion when jazz music was the new groove and the Charleston dance was all the rage.

So ladies don your beaded dresses and slip on the pearls and feathered head bands and gentleman dress up in your best gangster suit and don’t forget your tommy guns or alternatively perhaps you would prefer to dress as a policeman and raid the joint... I am sure there will be a few individuals present that may salivate over your handcuffs (although the ladies are welcome to gangster it up if they wish and it would be great to see a male flapper or two ;)  If you are in need of some inspiration look to the movie Chicago.

We welcome one and all into the most happening speakeasy in town. The one your mothers warned you not to go to.... a club full of fun, kinky people with a great energy, a club of acceptance, a club to explore fantasies and hang out with friends. With jazz music to jive to and a BYO bar this is the place to be.

There will be best dressed prizes for best gangster and best flapper. You could even try staying in character all night.

Once again nibbles such as chips and nuts will be served but we advise to eat dinner before you come.

As usual those who would like to experience rope bondage or suspension just need to ask Detlev.

We encourage all to bring your play toys as this creates more fun and diversity and there are lockers to keep all your belongings safe.

And remember the venue is BYO only.
